Some random thoughts

Why is there a TV timeout after the first kick-off of a football game?
I hate employees that do not show up for their shifts.
I love Al MacInnis in a completely heterosexual way. In a word "Classy".
Besides Christmas, there is no better holiday season than Halloween?
Roger cracks me up.
So does Pumpkin Nuts.
I made an old friend of my Mom's, Mary Beth, feel old.
My sister being 21 and graduating from undergrad make me feel old!
I have a great wife and the kids have an even better Mommy.
Seriously, does anybody know the answer to the kick-off question?
I cannot wait to move.
I can think of at least 6 employees at work that need to make more money.
I hate lying bosses.
Driving a Segway was fun.
Driving a Segway was terrifying.
My niece and nephew need more attention, consideration and compassion from their Mom.
I thought that I was doing a good job of watching my mouth around my kids.
Delaney said, "You have to be fucking kidding me!". OOPS!
I believe that I am rambling.
SOMEBODY ANSWER MY QUESTION ABOUT THE KICK-OFFS!!!!!

You Gotta Love It

There is a girl at work that is 17 years old. She is next to worthless. Just after she started working there, I found out she was a stripper. "Oooooohhhhhh, a stripper?"... NO! "EEEEWWWW! A stripper??" She is NOT attractive. She is lumpy and goth looking. Anyway...

I think that over all, I am a fair manager. I do not ask anyone to do anything that I have not done. I make them work, but I also let them slack off and have fun. I believe that is key to working with anyone, let alone teenagers. I know how I was and do not expect different from them. However, stripper-chick HATES ME!!! Gosh, I hope I can sleep tonight.

She is about as useless as a pimple on a frogs ass. She is doing a co-op for school and needs hours yet will ask to go home early, bitch about her schedule or just call in "sick". She also has a problem with wearing the prescribed khakis. I want to go back to the "sick" part though. She calls in one night because she was horseback riding (which she owns that horse) and got lost in the woods for two hours. She said that she was "traumatized". The next night she called in again, this time I was there and she said that she was sick because she was not dressed to be in the woods that long and caught a bit of the cold. WHAT?? So, you were dressed appropriately for a 30 minute ride but at 31 minutes you start to get cold??? I told her this was suspicious because I knew she had a friend in from out of town. She said that she was gone already. I, of course, call bullshit again. I ask her if she is serious about working here. She says that she is. I know she is lying... again. This is only ONE incident, people!

So she has this website, which I would link if not for the fact that she is 17 and posing scantily clad. I will say though that you all should thank me because she is a tub of cottage cheese!!! I digress... So I have an ongoing feud with her because she doesn't wear the required clothing (khakis) to work and I insist that she show up for her shifts. Meanwhile, one of the other managers takes her into one of the locker rooms and tells her she is "fucked up" and needs to stop stripping because soon it will lead to her turning tricks on the corner. Yet somehow I am the douche bag because I expect her to be in khakis and at work. Go figure.

I just love the logic of the "intellectual" teenager who cannot get along with the main members of her family or most authority figures in her life. Yeah sweetie, we are the assholes, not you. Boy, I only hope that I can sleep toni...... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

A new house?

Well in the two and a half weeks since my last post, quite a bit has happened. More stupid crap from bosses, higher gas prices, etc. However, among all of this annoying shit comes news that Kathy and I may have found a house!!

We were preapproved for a mortgage, signed up with a realtor, looked at houses both over the internet and in person. One of which was, in our opinion, a keeper.

It is not much to look at from the outside, but once inside, it is very nice for us. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a HUGE shed, a family room downstairs (perfect for poker!) and a rec area. It does not appear that we will change a lot. One of the rooms is definitely going to need to be painted because we do not want the guest bedroom to have an infants airplane motif, but other than that we are not planning on making any drastic changes.

We put the bid in today (Saturday) and should know by tomorrow at noon whether it was accepted or not. We gave them what we thought was a very fair offer. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

Anyway, here is a couple of pics...
